Mark Beckham says the Red Bank family is a place for all ages – from cradle roll to Young at Heart! Mark appreciates the friendliness and giving-spirit of the Red Bank members. Mark and his wife Jan have worshipped at Red Bank since 1978. Mark served as a deacon and worked with the visitation program at Red Bank before becoming an Elder in 2003. Mark helps oversees the Worship and Administration areas while also being a Life Group Ministry coordinator and working on the Inner City Board. Mark and Jan have been married since 1977. Their daughter Katie Beth lives in Chattanooga and works at Boyd Buchanan. Their son Brett and his wife Brittney live in Jackson, TN with their daughters Lila and Scarlett. Their son Blake and his wife Blair also live in Jackson, TN with their daughter Jazlyn and son Bowen. Mark is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University and works at UNUM while Jan attended FHU and Erlanger School of Nursing and works as an RN at Children’s Hospital. Mark enjoys walking, sports and civil war history.
Walter Jones loves the family atmosphere, generosity of the members, and mission mindset of the Red Bank church. Walter and Beverly have worshipped with Red Bank since 1974. Walter has served as an elder since 1996 before which he was a deacon. Walter oversees the Caring and Education/Spiritual Development Ministries at Red Bank. Walter and Beverly were married in 1972 and are parents to Chris and Jennifer Jones and Amy and Brian Stewart. They are proud grandparents of Cooper and Hudson Jones and Ashley, Maddox, and Austin Stewart. Walter is a graduate of Auburn and Middle Tennessee State Universities. He and Beverly are happily retired and enjoy traveling and watching their grandchildren play sports.
Phil McCormick appreciates the diversity of backgrounds, races, and cultures shared among the Red Bank Family. Phil also loves the commitment to unity in Christ shared by the Red Bank church. Phil and Becky have worshipped at Red Bank since 1988. Phil previously served as a deacon while worshipping in North Augusta, SC. Phil has led the Red Bank congregation as an elder since 2003. Phil oversees the Outreach and Education/Spiritual Development Ministries at Red Bank. Phil and Becky were married in 1980 and have two children: Brad and Cara. Cara and Nathan Brown are proud parents to Mack and Paul. Brad, Cara, and Nathan worship with the East Brainerd congregation in Chattanooga. Phil is a program manager at IBM while Becky is a retired RN. Phil and Becky are Harding graduates. Phil enjoys chasing grandchildren, spending time with his wonderful spouse, gardening, catching the occasional fish, and waiting on the Cubs to return to the World Series.
Steve McDonough cites the vibrant worship as well as the community and global outreach emphases as strengths of the Red Bank congregation. Steve has worshipped at Red Bank since 1986 and has served as an elder since 2002. Steve and his wife Flowerree were married in 2013. Steve oversees the Outreach and Fellowship Ministries at Red Bank. Steve and Flowerree are proud of their children Jennifer Phillips, John McDonough, Manker Galetovic, and Thompson Galetovic. Jennifer is married to Darryl. Steve is a pharmacist at CVS and Flowerree is a retired teacher from Knoxville Bearden HS. Both are UTK graduates. Steve and Floweree enjoy cooking, traveling and reading.
Charles Millirons appreciates Red Bank’s genuine love and concern as well as the focus on discipleship locally and globally. Charles and his wife Sheila have worshipped at Red Bank since 2004. Charles has led as an elder since 2010. Prior to becoming an elder, Charles served as a Life Group coordinator and teacher. Charles oversees the Worship and Administration areas at Red Bank while continuing to be a Life Group Ministry coordinator. Charles and Sheila have been married since 1989 and have one child, Taylor. Charles is the Senior VP at SmartBank and Sheila is an Oncology Nurse Case Manager with Cigna. Charles is a graduate of UTK and UTC and enjoys personal Bible study, exercising, sports and spending time with family.
Tommy Reese is proud of the emphasis the Red Bank Family places on their youth, children, and mission efforts. Tommy and Jill Reese have worshipped at Red Bank since 1961. Tommy served 23 years as a deacon and has served as an elder since 2010. Tommy oversees Body Life Ministries and Facilities while also serving on the Mission Committee and working with RBYG. Tommy and Jill were married in 1978 and have two grown children: Allison and Jeff. Jeff and his wife Jordan are missionaries with Manna Global Ministries in the Dominican Republic. Tommy and Jill each attended FHU. Tommy is a master plumber and owner of Reese Plumbing Co. Jill is the Teacher Residency Coordinator for Math and Science with the Hamilton County Board of Education. Tommy enjoys grilling, yardwork and watching his two teams: the Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox. Tommy appreciates the wide range of ages and talents in the Red Bank family!
Kevin Risley says the Red Bank family is a loving family that uplifts one another. Kevin and Stacy have worshipped with the Red Bank Family since 1987. He has been an elder since 2010 before which he was a deacon. Kevin oversees the Fellowship and Body Life Ministries at Red Bank. Kevin and Stacy were married in 1983 and have two children: Hannah and Taylor. Hannah and her husband, Benji Miller, worship at Red Bank. Taylor and his wife, Jacqueline, live in Memphis, TN. Kevin and Stacy are proud grandparents of Libby Miller. Kevin holds degrees from Lipscomb, UTC, and Auburn and works at Astec, Inc as a mechanical engineer and director of thermal systems and research. Stacy is a Christian educator at Boyd-Buchannan School where she is the elementary assistant principal. Stacy holds degrees from Auburn and Lincoln Memorial Universities. Fittingly, Kevin and Stacy list their hobby as family!
Don Steere is thankful for the friendliness and loving nature of the Red Bank Congregation. Don and his wife, LaRue, were married in 1974 and have worshipped at Red Bank since 1977. Don oversees Caring Ministries and Facilities at Red Bank. Don was a deacon for 20+ years prior to serving as an elder in 2010. Don and LaRue are happily retired. Don and LaRue are proud of their two children, (Kevin, married to Laura, and Nicole, married to Benny Mull). Kevin and Laura have two children: Emily and Megan. Benny and Nicole have four children: Savannah, Jackson, Tatum, and Colton. Don enjoys fishing, hiking, hunting, biking and camping.
